What is the task?

You will be tested on your ability to:

• talk about your life, your hobbies, your work and other relevant matters.

  • My hobbies are…
• To agree and disagree with a conversation partner
• You will also be asked to answer some simple business questions, e.g.
  • Do you think it is important for employees to do training at work?
  • Is online conferencing a good way of reducing business travel?

How can you prepare yourself?

• Practise discussing all these topics with a teacher/trainer before the exam
• Know the words for your job, your hobbies and other aspects of your life.
• Practise being conversational rather than providing one-word answers.
• Think about using more present simple rather than present continuous to describe permanent situations.
• Look at the examiner and be confident: practise this beforehand
